My Diwali

We had a great time last night at the ISKON temple. It's about a forty minute drive away, so I don't go very often, but their events are always a great experience.

On our way out the door (+ I need a better camera!)

Though my practices are not terribly devotional, it is nice to do some devotional activity now and then. It's so much fun to get caught up in the energy: jumping, clapping, and shouting to the gods.

I tried to take a picture of the idols, but there was so much light that my camera couldn't deal with it!

Back home...
This is my fanciest sari, the same one I wore to the temple dedication in Sringeri

  2. Madam, you cannot be recognised as an american unless we are told so. But one small correction it is the internal beauty rather than external beauty that is reflected in a person. I thinks you are beautiful on both the counts of having seen the enthusiasm with which you are pursuing Hinduism and the list of blogs you are following . 3. Madam, you look like an indian . unless the identity is disclosed. But hinduism is about inner beauty though external beauty is also essential. With due regards to the saints /sages , how many of them are beautiful externally , but it is their inner beauty that counts, vist my blog http/theindianspirutualguru.blogspot.com
