Readers, help me help this woman!

I got a message on Ravelry yesterday from a woman who loves to wear saris, but can't find a choli big enough to fit her.

I am terrible at sewing and I got my cholis mostly online, but my bust is not quite as large as hers.

What we need is this:

A resource where someone can buy (or have made from the fabric that sometimes comes with a sari) a blouse that is 48 inch bust and 40 inch underbust.

Please let me know in the comments if you can think of anywhere I can direct this woman!

  1. Where is she located? The best thing to do is to find a tailor who can make a blouse for her. Preferably a South Asian tailor who has made blouses in the past but there are also patterns online:

There's also this site but not sure if it's India only:

If she is in a large metro area, it should not be a problem; inquire at any Indian/Pakistani boutique for a tailor's name. They are usually happy to give it and might get a commission.

There is a woman here who stitches blouses and this town is only 25,000 people. I need to call her tonight, actually! :)

  3. Utsav is good but they don't just do blouses. You have to get the whole saree; if you get one of their cheaper ones though it might actually cost less than having a blouse locally tailored! he he.
